Over time, I’ve come to the realization that there are no guarantees when it comes to reaching the life you imagine for yourself. You have to go out and build it. In 2012, I gave up working on my Ph.D. in psychology to start a new career in fitness. The year after, I started attempting to build my own online business. I charged full speed into that process, then stopped working on it for months at a time. I changed my mind about the direction, the brand, the products. Then changed back after altering everything. I’ve had days when my creative juices were flowing like a waterfall and others when it felt like I had no idea what I was doing whatsoever. I’ve felt like a badass, powerful guru, and a fraud from one hour to the next. I’ve been extremely excited and happy. But I’ve also been deeply depressed. And yet I’m still here. I managed to build a life I feel good about. And I’m still working hard toward my greatest vision.
One thing that has been constant is this feeling that I have something important to share with the world; knowledge based on my past experiences, coupled with half a lifetime of training, studying, developing myself intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Hence why I’ve chosen to create this blog, to share the experiences, lessons, and research that have helped me live a healthier, happier life.
I hope you find them as useful as I did, and that in time, they help you find and reach the life of your dreams.
